Gift Ideas for College Students

As the gift-giving season swings into full force, I find myself in the strange position of struggling with what gifts to buy for a few college students in my life. This led me to some more serious research about what types of things (besides a gift card) would be happily received. I am passing them on to you in the hopes that a few of these things will help you to complete your own list a little quicker. Happy shopping!

1. Cape Scarf in Woodward Stripe from Madewell: Made of 100% wool with armholes built-in, this cape scarf will keep your college girl warm, cozy and stylish.

2. Bump Charger and Power Bank: Simultaneously charges your phone and acts as a battery backup. Available in four colors.

3. Yeti Cooler Insulated Water Bottle: Keeps water cold or hot for hours and is leak-proof, easy to clean and no condensation – what more can you ask for?

4. COBI Connected Bike System: Connects your smartphone to your bike for instant dashboard access to navigation, music, weather, fitness and other cycling essentials.

5. Dominion: Fast-paced strategy card game that can be played in about 30 minutes if everyone knows the rules. Each game is unique as you can change which 10 sets of cards you use with each new game. I will definitely be gifting  some of the expansion packs this Christmas.

6. Fingerless Fur Mittens by Jocelyn: Keep your hands nice and toasty in these rabbit fur mittens. Available in multiple colors for a more personalized style. Dyed colors can be found here. For those who love the look but want faux-fur try these from World Market.

7. Drybar Merry Mini Must-Haves Blowout Extending Essentials To Go: Set of three mini essentials from Drybar. Includes Dry Shampoo, Dry Conditioner and Triple-Sec 3-in-1(texturizer, volumizer and dry shampoo in one.)

8. Keurig K15 Single Serve Coffee Maker Holiday Bundle: Includes 36 K-Cup Pods, 12 Oz. Travel Mug and 35 Count K-Cup Pod Storage Drawer. Great for taking your coffee to go for an 8 a.m. class.

9. Game of Phones: Tired of being told you stare at your phone too much? Enter Game of Phones a new scavenger hunt type game that requires everyone to have their phones out and on.

I have a daughter who is a freshman in college so this article is perfect for me! I love the idea of the Bump. I’ve never heard of it before and that is super practical.

Yes, I like that it has dual purpose. You need all the space you get in a dorm room! 🙂
