Gift Guide for Teen Girls

Gift Guide for Teen Girls

When I chose to make a gift guide for teen girls as my gift list this year, I knew it would be all about indulgent gifts. I also tried to focus less on tech gifts as you will see there is only one included on this list. Hopefully the suggestions I have put together will make trudging through yet another school day a little bit brighter for your teen. And of course, it is such fun to see their faces when they get something unexpected and definitely not a necessity. Get a cup of tea, settle in and start checking off your to-do list. Who knows, you might even find a something for yourself. I know I did.

KalaniSocks

On Wednesdays We Wear Pink Kalani Socks

KH by Kalani or Stance Socks

KH by Kalani and Stance are two of the top trending sock brands out right now and you can get them in sets or individual pairs. Stance has partnered with Disney and Kalani offers a box subscription service. Certain Kalani patterns sell out quickly so if you see something you like you might want to snap it up. Are they pricey for a pair of socks? Probably. Will your teen be thrilled to get them? Yes!

Vera Bradley Retractable Lanyard and Zip ID Case

Lanyards have been around for a while but Vera Bradley has taken them to a new level. Thick nylon cords with school logos have been replaced with fun patterns and soft quilted fabric. This is one of the handiest and cutest ways to keep track of IDs, keys and cash. You can find these for about $15 at Vera Bradley or on Amazon.com.

CaudalieBeautyElixir

Caudalie Beauty Elixir

Caudalie Beauty Elixir

The two things that attracted me most to Caudalie’s Beauty Elixir is the light floral smell and how my face felt after spraying it on. It was so refreshing and my skin definitely looked brighter. You can also use this elixir as a primer base and makeup setting spray. The skin-drying winter months are almost upon us and this would be a great addition to help keep skin hydrated and refreshed. At Sephora for $18 (mini size), this is a nice little treat to tuck in a stocking or gift basket.

PinkZodiacRemoteSelfie

Zodiac Remote Selfie

Selfie Remote and Phone Stand

I came across this handy addition to phone photography at a local camera store. Not only do I love the idea of expanding your options when it comes to selfies, but it is also a great blogger tool for flat lays or for those teens developing their VSCO feed. No need to fool around with timers and Popsockets, you can get wider angles and great group shots all in HD with the click of a button.  I haven’t seen these in any big box retailers yet so your best bet is a local camera store or Amazon.com.

Aesthetic hats are a new-ish trend that allows for a more personalized approach to your wardrobe. Sellers like WildflowerandCompany on Etsy make beanies and baseball hats with an individual patch and hat color chosen by the buyer. There is a huge array of options to choose from including this blush pink hat with unicorn patch.

Statement Shoes

You have heard of the statement necklace, now it is time to take a stroll in a pair of statement shoes. Paired with a more neutral outfit, statement shoes are a great way for your teen to show off their personality. It could be a whimsical symbol, glitter fabric or a fluffy pom pom on top of laces. The styles can range from tennis shoes to boots but they are designed to catch the eye and stand out in a sea of Nikes.

HandmadeMittens

Up-cycled Mittens from MadAboutMittens

Up-Cycled Sweater Mittens

For a truly unique gift, you can’t go wrong with a pair of one-of-a-kind sweater mittens from Etsy. Not only are you supporting independent sellers, but you are helping to keep more clothes out of landfills. My daughter got these cute purple ones from MadAboutMittens. These high quality, fleece-lined mittens will keep your teens hands toasty warm and stylish at the same time. They arrive neatly packaged so all you have to do is pop them directly into a gift bag and under the tree. Win, win, win.
